A well equipped cottage in a good location - couldn't ask for more! Mr R, Wooler, Northumberland 21 September 2010
The location of the cottage is simply breathtaking. For anyone seeking peace, quiet and natural beauty amongst friendly people this is perfect. Mrs E, Bishop's Stortford, Hertfordshire 25 August 2010
We would recommend this cottage - but would then be worried that we may not be able to rent it ourselves. Prof D, ROCHESTER, Kent 24 August 2010
The walking in this area is outstanding with a wide range of both easy and challenging walks. The beaches are clean and quite. An ideal place to holiday what ever the age. Evening entertainment may be a problem for some. Mr E, MARKFIELD, Leicestershire 19 August 2010
Riverview Cottage has got to be one of the best cottages in the Hoseasons brochure. Everything you could wish for or expect was there for you. Wonderful kitchen equipped with every appliance, plenty of cultery, crockery and glassware. Even spare batteries and lightbulbs were provided, just in case. The cottage was beautifully furnished, spotlessly clean and in a lovely setting. What more could you wish for? Good weather, maybe - and we got that as well! Mr B, NEWENT, Gloucestershire 21 April 2010
Peaceful and very relaxing area. Mr W, Whalsay, Shetland 22 September 2009
I would recommend this property to anyone BUT they may love it as much as we do and we may find ourselves unable to rent it again. prof D, ROCHESTER, Kent 21 July 2009
This was one of the best holidays I have been on - and I have been on a few being 53 years old! The house was fantastic, very, very good value was money; Poolewe and the surrounding area was a lovely place to visit, ie. walks and car drives, and there were miles and miles of deserted beaches. From the bedroom and living windows you could sit at night listening to the river running by and in the morning watch the salmon leaping. What's more, and something that is very important for people coming to the Highlands of Scotland, there were no midges due to the fast flowing river. For that alone I would recommend the holiday!!!! Mrs W, EDINBURGH 18 June 2009
The location and facilities were excellent and extremely good value for money. We went with friends and the amenities meant there was things for everyone to do, the golf course was fantastic as well. Mrs. S, THORNTON-CLEVELEYS 06 June 2009
The area where this property is situated is perfect for touring Wester Ross and the accommodation is of a very high standard - I cannot think of anything which was not catered for.
The local hotel is approximately a 5 minute walk from the cottage and offers reasonably priced bar meals and a good A La Carte menu. There is also a small coffee shop with excellent home baking and a local general store for fresh rolls/bread etc.
There is ample parking for three vehicles on site with additional parking about 150 yards from the property.
This area of Scotland is particularly beautiful with fantastic views around every bend. Applecross is around an hours drive away as is Ullapool and the Summer Isles. Gairloch (approx 6 miles away) offers local boat trips. Inverue Gardens (about 2/3rd of a mile from the cottage) is well worth a visit.
If a relaxing break is what you are after this will certainly hit the spot. Miss B, Livingston, 27 April 2009
This was a stunning well furnished property in a beautiful area. We had a fantastic Christmas here and there were lovely walks straight from the house. Mrs S, Retford, Nottinghamshire 27 December 2008
The cottage was warm, welcoming and extremely comfortable and was a delight to return to after a day out exploring the scenic delights of the area. A real home from home with everything we needed provided and set in a lovely location overlooking the River Ewe. Mr M, Poole, Dorset 18 October 2008
